Operation of the ARGUS website serves to inform customers, partners, interested parties and applicants about the ARGUS range of services and to provide an easy way to contact them. Furthermore, alarm activation can be ordered after registration and login.

4. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT FROM YOU?

A) GENERAL AND TECHNICAL DATA – SERVER LOG DATA

In order to make your visit to our website as pleasant as possible, general information about the device you used, as well as your IP address and browser type, is collected as early as when you visit the website for technical reasons. The data collected includes (not an exhaustive list):

• Website from which the request originates
• Amounts of data transferred

This is mandatory information that is automatically collected in our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) f) GDPR) and stored in server log files. The processing of personal data on our website is limited to that data that is necessary to provide a functional website as well as user-friendly content and services. In particular, we therefore collect personal data on our website for internal administrative purposes (e.g., ensuring the stability and operational reliability of the system).

B) USE OF OUR CONTACT FORMS/REGISTRATION

We provide contact forms on our websites for communicating with us and for placing orders. When these contact forms are used, we also process the content of the message and order-related information in addition to your contact details. We must have this data in order to process and answer your query; otherwise, we will not be able to answer it in full or at all.
The data collected includes all data that you provide when filling out the forms, such as (not an exhaustive list):
• First name and surname
• Company name
• Email address
• Reason for query, content of the message
• Any other data you provide
• Upon registration: mobile phone number and username
Your data will be deleted after 6 months at the latest, provided that your query has been conclusively answered and its deletion does not conflict with any legal retention obligations, such as in the event of any subsequent contract processing.

The data is processed on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1) a) GDPR). If you request further information about our services via the contact form or would like to receive an offer, we will treat your query as a pre-contractual measure (Art. 6 (1) b) GDPR).

The personal data you transmit will be processed and protected in encrypted form. Despite extensive technical and organisational security measures, data may be lost or intercepted and/or manipulated by unauthorised persons. We take appropriate technical and organisational security measures to prevent this within the system. However, your device is not located within the secure area that we can control. It is your responsibility as a user to inform yourself about the necessary security precautions and to take appropriate measures in this regard.

C) USE OF THE APPLICATION PORTAL

We provide an application portal on our websites, through which you can apply for advertised vacancies. When the applicant contact form is used, we process not only your contact and master data and the content of the message, but also the documents and images you have uploaded. The provision of this data is necessary in order for us to be able to examine and process your application. Your application documents will be processed exclusively for the purposes of applicant selection and recruitment.

The data collected includes all data that you provide when filling out the forms, such as (not an exhaustive list):
• Title, first name, surname
• Address, phone number, email address
• Date of birth
• Nationality, native language
• Salary expectations
• Application documents
• Portrait photo
• Any other data you provide

Your data will be kept for up to five months following completion of the application process, unless you give us your explicit consent to keep your data for any subsequent vacancy.

The data is processed on the basis of pre-contractual measures (Art. 6 (1) b) GDPR) and your consent (Art. 6 (1) a) GDPR).

As soon as your application documents have been entered in our application portal, you will automatically receive confirmation of receipt by email. We will then review your application and get back to you.

When processing your application, we take the liberty of checking whether you might also be considered for other currently open positions at ARGUS.

5. WHICH THIRD-PARTY COOKIES, EVALUATION AND ANALYSIS TOOLS DO WE USE?

We use various cookies – files that are stored on your hard drive when you visit our website – to evaluate visits to and activities on our websites.

6. WHY DO WE USE ENCRYPTION?

8. FOR HOW LONG WILL WE STORE YOUR DATA?

In principle, the data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required in order to achieve the purpose. With respect to personal data that is collected during visits to our website, we store this data for a maximum period of 12 months.

We store your personal data associated with the use of our contact forms and applicant contact forms for a maximum period of 6 months.
